This project aims to address the issue of low engagement and excitement surrounding our school's soccer program. Many students are not familiar with the players or the team, which leads to reduced attendance at games and diminished involvement. To enhance this engagement, we will utilize video editing software such as Canva, along with social media platforms, cameras, microphones, and mobile devices, to produce player vlogs, practice and game highlights, as well as behind-the-scenes content. Additionally, we plan to record our pep rallies and key game moments.
This initiative aligns with the CART goals by fostering community and engaging our audience through entertaining and relatable content. By showcasing the players and their experiences, we aim to strengthen the connection between fans and the team. Our community partners include Nataly Earnest, Coach Earnest, Coach Hardaway, Ms. Miller, and Mr. Farnam. Nataly Earnest manages the Facebook Soccer Booster page, which will assist us in promoting our project and keeping the community informed. Coach Earnest, as the head coach, actively encourages players to participate in vlogs and share their experiences. Coach Hardaway supports Coach Earnest and provides valuable insights to enhance our project’s quality. Ms. Miller organizes pep rallies, enabling us to capture these events and generate school spirit. Mr. Farnam, our principal, will support us in gaining approval for our project and will advocate for increased student participation.
We initiated this project in September and plan to continue throughout the 2025 soccer season, concluding with a highlight reel in May. While this project will not extend beyond the current soccer season, we are all aware of the wonderful experiences it has provided during this time.
