EAST envisions a world where communities are strengthened through service and technology and it is the mission of EAST to provide all learners with the opportunity to have a relevant, individualized, life-changing experience.

The success of EAST branding is dependent on everyone in the EAST network. This includes EAST staff, EAST board members, EAST facilitators and administrators, EAST alumni, EAST donors and EAST community partners. The EAST brand includes not only a logo, but also helps to create an experience for audiences including environment, culture, language, taglines and interpersonal interaction.

EAST Believes:

  • You should be actively engaged in solving problems in your community.
  • You should be given access to relevant resources and tools to use in solving problems.
  • You should be encouraged to collaborate with others to grow and become positive agents of change.

Tips for Writing and Speaking about EAST:

  • Write the name as EAST. All caps, no punctuation.
  • Say "east" as a word, not E-A-S-T as an acronym.
  • It is EAST® on first reference; note legal mark.
  • Write and talk about EAST as an "experience."
  • Education accelerated by service and technology is a jumping-off point to quickly define the EAST experience.

EAST Logos

The primary EAST logo is a two-color design with PMS Cool Gray 11C and PMS 632C. One-color logos must be 100% black, PMS Cool Gray 11C, PMS 632C or white.

The logo can appear horizontally or vertically, depending on available space.

Description of File Types:

  • EPS: Encapsulated Postcript. This is a "vector" file, scalable to any size within graphics software such as the Adobe Creative Suite. Also usable within Powerpoint.
  • JPG: Bitmapped formats that have fixed resolutions. Do not enlarge these files, or pixels will show.
  • PNG: Similar to JPG, but has a transparent background.

School Program Logos

Each EAST program has its own culture. However, all learners in the EAST network share an identity. By more formally connecting a local program to the EAST network, there is a platform to tell a collective story about EAST.

Typography

In keeping with the collaborative nature of EAST, two typefaces are suggested for use: ASAP Condensed for headlines and Crimson Text for body copy.
