The Senior Survival Guide is a podcast to help fellow classmates succeed during both the senior year and then after high school. We wanted a project that would benefit us, but also help those coming after us. The podcast episodes focus on real life issues and things that are beneficial for seniors to learn before graduation. Some topics we’ve discussed are how to manage your money, the ACT, how to write college scholarship essays, scholarships, and different career paths. As we did more research we also realized that not all seniors are planning to attend college. We decided to include episodes about going into the military or workforce. After brainstorming with other seniors, conducting a survey, we invited guests from our community that would be knowledgeable in various topics. Some guests we have had are National Guard Sergeant Keller Hill, teachers and guidance counselors from Nettleton High School, and workforce recruiter Shelly Randall of the Chamber of Commerce. We had the opportunity to participate in Draft Day, Be Pro Be Proud and include this episode in our podcast, and partner with students at Arkansas State University and other college students to help seniors get an idea of what college life is like.

We used video equipment, pocket osmos, phones, Premiere Pro, Google Forms, and Illustrator and Canva to create graphics.
