The project was created to address the challenges faced by individuals with limited hand mobility, including those with spinal cord injuries, strokes, arthritis, and nerve injuries, by developing handy helpers using advanced 3D printing technology and the steady writers . This initiative fills the CART (Community, Accessibility, Research, and Technology) framework by fostering community engagement while enhancing accessibility through innovative tools. What makes this project unique is its combination of customized assistive devices tailored to individual needs, thereby improving independence in daily tasks and handwriting abilities. Our community partner, CHI St. Vincent Hospital in Sherwood, Arkansas , that specializes in rehabilitation, has played a crucial role in this project by providing valuable insights and support. We have actively promoted this initiative on social media platforms, tagging our partners and using hashtags such as #pcssd.
