JrHogTalk is a ongoing series of student led episodes consisting of local events and information about and from Arkansas Middle School. The JrHogTalk series started at North Heights Jr. High, when in 2017, the JrHogTalk Youtube channel was created, starting the ongoing 7 year life of JrHogTalk.
The North Heights EAST crew made JrHogTalks to inform students of upcoming events and details about these events, footage from said events can also be found on JrHogTalk. The fun and informative activity turned EAST project was turned into a project due to its ability to help everybody that makes and watches JrHogTalk.
The creators can be benefited by learning important life skills such as, but not limited to: deadline management, team communication, planning ahead, decision making, and other important skills. The viewer can be notified about important and time-sensitive events that may give important information at the event, the viewer, if they missed the event, can check the JrHogTalk channel for the important information that was given at the event.
To conclude, JrHogTalk is an important tool at Arkansas Middle School, as it can teach students important skills, while providing for the common need of information. As JrHogTalk has evolved and changed over its 7 year life span, the purpose has always stayed the same, the give information to people that need it the most.
