EAST students on the Glowforge project were contacted by Tiffany Horton at Conway’s Regional Medical Center to create reunite tags for Alzheimer’s patients. These tags are designed to be clipped onto their clothes and feature a QR code.
The QR code can be scanned with a phone, allowing anyone who finds a lost patient to scan the tag and ensure they get back to their caregiver safely. This is a crucial tool for enhancing the safety and well-being of Alzheimer’s patients.
To develop this project, the students used the Glowforge machine to make the name tags. This initiative not only showcases their technical skills but also highlights their dedication to making a positive impact on the community.
