In this innovative EAST project, students harnessed the power of technology to enhance literacy learning in their classrooms. Using SketchUp, a 3D modeling software, students designed a set of engaging sight word tiles aimed at helping younger learners recognize and practice essential words. Each tile features bright colors and playful designs, making them visually appealing and interactive.

Once the designs were finalized, students utilized Bambu Studio to 3D print the tiles, transforming their digital creations into tangible educational tools. This hands-on experience not only taught students valuable skills in design and printing technology but also emphasized collaboration, creativity, and problem-solving.

The finished sight word tiles are now set to be used in classrooms, providing teachers with a dynamic resource to support early literacy development. This project not only empowers students to take an active role in their learning environment but also fosters a sense of community as they contribute meaningful resources to their peers.
