After having a guest preacher come visit our classroom, TaMez realized that many students did not know Jesus and wanted to spread the word and get kids interested in the Bible. Originally, he wanted to get them all Bibles, but realized that he couldn’t just yet (not to mention the age group he was wanting to help didn’t know how to read. He and Kaleb then began to work on the xp-pen to create designs that were Christian based. That was when they came up with the idea of bookmarks. They will distribute the bookmarks to all kindergarten students after going in to speak with them about why they are giving them out. They are also planning on leaving some in the classrooms for future students to see. These students had to use critical thinking on how to tell littles about God when they can't read yet. Their conversations with the preacher showed that it was difficult to get those small ones interested in God when their parents don't take them to church. These boys wanted to help. These boys are learning how to use the xp-pen and how to move their creations in order to create the bookmarks. They are also learning how to present and speak with little ones on their level.
