Highlights of the 2011 Seminar
Once again, the seminar provided facilitators, presenters and EAST Initiative staff with an opportunity to learn, network, share — and do something everyone should do on their summer vacation: have some fun!
Our second annual Tech Camp preceded the Seminar and was hosted at CAST headquarters on the University of Arkansas campus in Fayetteville. The main seminar sessions at the John Q. Hammonds Convention Center in Rogers were educational, insightful and entertaining. Thrown in for good measure was a lively evening of bowling, go carts — and even dancing — at Fast Lane Entertainment.

Seminar Registration Details
Let us know you will be attending by registering before Friday, May 20.
Registration fee is $175, which includes an EAST shirt and lunch on Wednesday, July 20 and Thursday, July 21. An invoice for this amount will be emailed to you when you register.
To maintain EAST compliance, facilitators unable to attend must submit a written letter from the building principal on school letterhead, giving the reason for absence, before the registration deadline Friday, May 20.
Registration Terms & Conditions / Drop Policy
By registering for the Pre-Seminar Tech Camp and/or the EAST Facilitator Summer Seminar (the 'Seminar'), you are confirming that you intend to participate at the levels for which you have registered at these events. In turn, the EAST Initiative incurs certain non-refundable costs and expenses on your behalf. For this reason, any registered participant who drops registration(s) after Friday, July 1, 2011, or does not attend without dropping, will be required to pay their full registration fee(s).
Back by popular demand, we are offering a pre-seminar 1-day Tech Camp, to be held at the CAST training center at the University of Arkansas, July 19. EAST staff and industry professionals will give instruction in various technologies and software used in EAST classrooms. All registered Summer Seminar attendees may participate and lunch from Panera Bread Company is included. Registration fee is $25 .
The Seminar culminates with a prize drawing during the closing session. To enter, attendees must submit specific information, described on our Prizes page.
