Congressmen Tim Griffin and Rick Crawford invite students in the First and Second Congressional Districts to compete in the House STEM App Challenge. To be eligible students must reside in a county in the First or Second Congressional District.

Three teams of EAST Initiative students representing Eureka Springs High School, Central High in Helena and Beebe Middle School have been selected as finalists in the 2014 ASSET Initiative Solar Design Competition from the Arkansas Science & Technology Authority.

The EAST Initiative is one of five finalists in the Arkansas Business of the Year Awards 2014 in the non-profit organization category. Winners will be announced at the 26th annual banquet February 25 at the Statehouse Convention Center.

The Arkansas Regional Innovation Hub today announced a partnership with the EAST Initiative to establish a classroom and laboratory – “The STEAM Room” – in the heart of the Argenta Innovation Center currently being developed in downtown North Little Rock.
