2015-16 EAST Upgrade Grant for Arkansas Schools

In cooperation with the Arkansas Department of Education, the EAST Initiative is pleased to be able to offer the EAST Upgrade Grant Program to eligible Arkansas schools. This grant is a non-competitive matching grant up to $10,000, including the matching funds.
2015 EAST Beyond the Bell Grant Opportunities Available

The EAST Initiative, in collaboration with the Arkansas Department of Education, is pleased to offer an EAST Beyond the Bell Grant opportunity to all EAST programs in good standing. Funding is available up to $10,000 for projects to be completed during non-school hours in the Summer and/or Fall of 2015!
EAST Finalist in Arkansas Business 2014 NPO of the Year

The EAST Initiative is one of five finalists in the Arkansas Business of the Year Awards 2014 in the non-profit organization category. Winners will be announced at the 26th annual banquet February 25 at the Statehouse Convention Center.

EAST students receive funding for projects through BHP Billiton

Two EAST programs at schools in the area have received grants from BHP Billiton Petroleum for projects the programs’ students presented to the organization. Rose Bud and Searcy High School EAST programs each received a $5,000 grant from the Australian mining and petroleum company.

EAST at Greenbrier High School recently received a $5,000 grant from BHP Billiton Petroleum for a student-led project to help students improve their real-world skills and problem solving through technology.
