Facilitators,
We are less than one month away from our Summer Seminar. Please review the updates and reminders listed below.
Tech Camp
Sessions have been announced for this year’s tech camp hosted at the University of Arkansas July 19. Facilitators may still add the tech camp through July 1. Participants may drop the Tech Camp and receive a full refund through July 1. Remember, after this date the $25 registration fee is non-refundable.
Please register in advance for the specific sessions you plan to attend. Your personalized schedule will be provided to you upon arrival. Six (6) technology hours will be provided for full participation. Lunch is provided and will be catered by Panera Bread Company.
Summer Seminar
Over 60% of our registered facilitators have already created a personalized agenda for the Summer Seminar, thank you!! If you haven’t created your schedule, be sure to take advantage of the opportunity to customize your schedule before July 1 or one will be created for you. Your personalized agendas will be provided for you in your registration folder upon arrival. Eighteen (18) professional development hours will be provided to you for full participation with additional hours provided to facilitator presenters.
Registration payment deadline is July 1. You were notified by email if we have received your registration fee. If you are unsure on if this payment has been received, please contact Phaedra Hawkins. Payment in full is expected at on-site registration for any unpaid balances. We will provide a receipt for reimbursement if needed. The deadline to drop the summer seminar without penalty is July 1.
We hope you are making plans to join us for our Seminar evening activities. Wednesday, June 20 the staff will be chilling at Fast Lane Entertainment. Join us for laser tag, bowling (ladies bowl for free on Wednesdays!), go-carts, nerf balls, and more! Thursday night, July 21, will be our casual evening get-together located in the Embassy Lobby at 7:30 PM. Desserts and drinks will be provided while connecting with other facilitators and staff. Please RSVP by July 1 if you are planning to join us so I will have an accurate head count and plenty of treats to go around.
Prize Upload – We already have a nice prize pool growing for our drawing during the closing session including several hotel packages, restaurant gift cards, and more. Take a few minutes and participate in at least one opportunity to be entered into the drawing. This year you can upload five websites you find useful, reflect on your program and project sophistication, complete a student training survey and share 5 photos.

Not Registered Yet?
Registration for the Tech Camp and Summer Seminar is still available. EAST staff will be contacting facilitators who have not registered and who haven’t contacted us with their summer plans. Remember, registration for these events must take place in advance so we can plan for your materials and meals.
Sessions Announced
Facilitators now have the ability to create their individual session schedules for both the tech camp and Seminar. Use the links on the left-hand side of the page to create your schedule.
Tech Camp – If you are registered for tech camp, you may select one session in any or all of the three time slots. Tech Camp registration was created to allow flexibility for your schedule.
Seminar – There are session blocks on all three days that require you to select three of the four sessions provided to attend. This type of registration system allows facilitators to select sessions relevant to the growth of their program. Descriptions have been provided and we encourage you to review them before creating your schedule.
Session registration will be open until July 1, 2011.

5/17/2011 — Summer Seminar sessions and descriptions have been posted. Later this week, facilitators will be able to create their own personlized agendas by registering for sessions. Watch for an announcement on when this is available. The Tech Camp session lineup and descriptions have also been posted. Don't worry, facilitators can add the Tech Camp at any time by editing their registration.
4/26/2011 — Facilitators, you may begin adding information, for entries into the prize drawing. We will be collecting this information until Friday, July 8. More opportunities may be added. Watch the blog and forums for announcements.
